The case study from GR Experiencial learning is on our latest production, a kind of interactive film role playing game called "Rådgivarna" or "The Advisers". You can see it through the link below. Beware the production is in swedish, with no subtitles. ;) In the game the players act advisers to the main character in the film, a poltician. She proposes different hard issues relating to current and future issues of concern in the European Union, and asks her advisers for help on how to adress these issues. Depending on the choices made by the players the outcome will differ. The game has aroused quite some attention within the swedish school system. See the game/movie on:

Note: The streaming media film needs to be viewed in Windows Mediaplayer 9 or 10. You will be asked if you want to see extended material, which you will want to on several occasions during the viewing. The film is streamed in 1200kbs/sec, which means that it might be hard to see it from England, even using broadband.
In this game students take the role of advisers to a Swedish MP featuring in the movie. The game/movie is organised in seven chapters, which either can be played in a linear order, or seperately in any order you wish. By playing the game/movie from the "beginning" to the "end" the student will also grasp a complete narrative structure, that will not be seen if only separate chapters are played. Each chapter starts with the MP featured within an environment that enhances the topic of the chapter. For instance one chapter (number 3) is positioned within a global security setting, so the MP is shown in a military environment. On this location the MP presents a difficult topic relating to the EU on global security, and asks for advise from her advisers (the students in the classroom). These in turn are given faxes, emails and other material which the MP has "sent" them. Using her story on the DVD, as well as the handouts, the students/advisers have to decide on what advise they should give the MP. The different possible means of action (choices) are presented in the DVD as hyperlinks within the game. Depending on the students/advisers advise, one of the actions are taking, thus presenting an answer from the MP where she discusses the possible pros and cons of this choice. After this, the game/movie goes on to the next chapter.
